History of FSC

Ford Scout Camp
In the 1970's North Nothumberland got its own campsite on Ford & Etal estates with the kind generosity  of the Joicey family.

A humble hut provided a safe area for children to take part in Scouting activities and enjoy that first night away from home.

The hut received an extension in the late 1980's as the numbers involved in Scouting locally expanded.

Unchanged since then it has provided a base camp for thousands of children both locally and further afield.

Through out this period the Davison family had been very instrumental in the site and in the North Northumberland District.
Many events have taken place on the site including the 100th Birthday of North Northumberland Scouts in 2007.

It was around this time that the decision was made by  the North Northumberland District Scout Council to redevelop the site for the future.....
